Google Announces Bard, an AI Chatbot
On February 6, Google released The Keyword blog, where CEO Sundar Pichai announced Bard, an AI chatbot powered by LaMDA (Language Model for Conversational Applications). Google will open Bard to trusted testers today and expects to make it available to the public in the coming weeks. The current release of Bard uses a lighter version of LaMDA that requires less computing power and can be opened up to more users to gather feedback. Google expects to make Bard responses based on real-world information that meets high standards of quality and security. The AI engine will also be introduced into Google search in the future.

If I had to say something not so great about the first-generation HomePod, I really don’t have much to say about this wireless smart speaker from Apple. I’ve been listening to music on the HomePod for four years now, thanks to its beautiful design, good sound quality, and the great Apple ecosystem.
Although it’s been discontinued for two years and replaced by the smaller, equally good HomePod mini, which is much less expensive, I still can’t find a reason to replace it.1 The HomePod is still in reliable service in my home today.

Netflix has announced the addition of Spatial Audio to its premium plans, which Netflix says will allow users to enjoy the highest quality sound experience whether at home or on the go, and said that Spatial Audio already covers more than 700 popular movies, including “Wednesday” and “Blade Runner: The Wire,” with more to come.
