Remove Search Protect by Conduit

Yesterday I update uTorrent and this thing called Search Protect by Conduit installs itself on the computer. Now I have a problem to get online because my IE start up page keeps defaulting to “Search”. I can see Search.conduit.com in the URL. When I try to reset the default start up page using Internet Tools, IE is shut down. Also I have tried going to control panel, but there is nothing that is even close to being conduit made there. Until now, I’ve tried everything I can to get rid of it but it still keeps popping up with that page. How do I get rid of it from my computer permanently?

Fix “Helpctr.exe” Application Error

I’ve been getting “Helpctr.exe” application error message on start up. This non-stop pop-up goes crazy and comes up again and again. I’m not a computer wiz. I am using Windows XP, and I only started receiving this issue after i installed the latest 2 windows updates.
