Hi there. I think something must be wrong on my computer. It works very slow. When I opened my browser Google Chrome, my homepage has been changed to Intsearch.info automatically. I tried to reset the homepage, but it didn’t work. I also cleared my cookies and history, but the page still came up every time I was online. Also when I was on some shopping websites like amazon, I got many pop-up ads that saying that I can get free coupons then redirecting me to another page to download some adware. How do I stop the annoying redirection to Intsearch.info?
Intsearch.info belongs to browser hijacker that created by hackers solely to direct Web surfers to pages hosting malware and increase website traffic. Now those hackers seem to be very active in the development of sponsored search engines since they can easily be distributed, quite successfully infect web browsers and can initiate marketing campaigns very easily. Being as one of the spam search engines, Intsearch.info will not provide you any reliable search results but constant pop-up ads. It has the ability to change your browser settings, alter the web browser’s start page, default search engine and the new tab page, install some additional components, including browser plug-ins, toolbars or extensions, and introduce adware or potentially unwanted programs to your PC in order to further damage your system.

I received a notification today saying that my files have been encrypted and I have to pay a lot money to gain them back. I supposed this was a virus so I ran ESET to scan my PC, after half and hour it detected a variant of the threat “Win32/Filecoder”, for example, filecoder.cr. Is this virus dangerous? Will it steal my personal information like credit card info or something like that? What’s the best way to get rid of it completely?
Win32/Filecoder.CR is defined as Trojan Horse designed to execute dangerous activities on your computer like encrypting your documents and photos, slowing down your PC performance and even stealing your information without your awareness. This Trojan virus is associated with CryptoLocker Virus that usually gets into your PC after you mistakenly clicked on malicious pop ups or links, installed or downloaded unknown freeware from porn sites or unknown sites. It also can be downloaded once you opened the attachment from spam emails. Once the Trojan is executed on the compromised computer, it creates a number of registry entries to store the path of the encrypted files and run every time the computer restarts. It encrypts files with particular extensions on the computer and creates additional files with instructions on how to obtain the decryption key. Those files take up large system resources and make PC run slowly. The virus attempts to convince the user to pay money in order to get the key to unlock their files. It uses a variety of different techniques in order to encourage the user to pay the ransom. It is another scam trying to fool unwary users so victims should get rid of Win32/Filecoder.CR once upon detection.

How can i get trovi off of safari? Trovi wont let me search anything else on my computer and also won’t let me update on my app store on my computer, i can but very limited to websites. For example I can google something, but it won’t let me go onto the website on google. I got a Macbook Air a few months ago and about a few weeks ago I started getting annoying pop-up ads on Safari and it suddenly changed my default homepage from Google to Trovi.com. I searched on the Internet and found that Trovi was a piece of adware – perhaps it’s even a virus. Now I cannot change my homepage anyway and the ads are quite annoying. The problem appeared when I was asked to download a Java Update before. I downloaded Mackeeper to solve the problem but it didn’t work at all. I am not good at computers. How do I get rid of trovi virus on a macbook completely?

Hi there. Earlier today I ran a full scan using Microsoft Essentials Security, and after several hours it discovered Trojan:JS/HideLink.A on my PC. I tried to get rid of it but the virus keeps coming back. I downloaded AVG and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but they didn’t help either. The virus seems to hijack my web browser and I am constantly redirected to some commercial websites. I don’t have my windows CD so re-installing the OS is not a good choice. Any ideas? Is there any other way I can get rid of the virus without losing my pictures and documents?
Trojan:JS/HideLink.A is a malicious program that creates security breaches in your operating system allowing hackers to access your computer and steal your personal information. This virus is categorized as Trojan Horse that can be used to open backdoor and fetch other malware to system. Generally speaking, the virus can be downloaded when you click on any specific links or pop-up ads on malicious websites, open attachment from spam emails. Also, removable device, porn site are the very common ways to distribute the virus effectively too. Upon execution, the virus drops its malicious file components with random file names to every corner of your system, so it will be very difficult for anti-malware program to delete all its components from the system. The virus can keep coming back after removal and it is suggested users remove Trojan:JS/HideLink.A manually, or your data and other confidential information may be secretly obtained by hackers remotely.
