Hi there. I use AVG Internet Security program to protect my computer and it has been working good. But yesterday AVG started telling me that I have a virus called MalSign.Generic.6BB on my computer. I tried to remove it but it seems AVG can’t help at all. It tells me that the threat has been removed but after 30 minutes or so it keeps notifying me that the virus has been detected again and again. I’m frustrating now. Is there any other way to get rid of this virus without reinstalling Windows? I don’t want to lose any files. Thanks.
MalSign.Generic.6BB is Trojan horse computer malware which has been recently detected by AVG Internet Security and has been considered as dangerous PC threat. It sneaks into your computer from spam e-mail, sponsored links from malicious websites or other dubious shared files. The virus injects its own files and registry entries into your computer, and changes the start-up items immediately once installed so that it can be activated automatically each time you boot up your computers. AVG keeps alerting you that MalSign.Generic.6BB is detected but when you take action to remove it, the virus comes back after a few minutes. When this virus is running on the target PC, the system performance will be reduced severely. It runs slower and slower. Sometimes, it can even get stuck. Similar Trojan viruses including MalSign.Generic.98F, MalSign.Generic.6A6, MalSign.Generic.6A4, MalSign.Generic.853, MalSign.Generic.A8A, MalSign.Generic.89B and Malsign.Generic.c28 virus may have a chance to come to your computer with the help of this Trojan too. In same cases, most of programs cannot work properly because error messages keep popping up whenever you try to open them. The virus also has the ability to alter browser settings without your permission, therefore it is not surprised that you hear audio ads when using your browser like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome or you hear random ads playing in background without any window or browser opened. Fortunately the virus will not delete your files on the computer, however it owns backdoor capability that can install other infections or allow remote hackers to record the data that you’ve entered such as logins and passwords without any knowledge. So PC users should remove MalSign.Generic.6BB virus completely to keep the infected PC safe.
