I have a browser redirect virus that I can’t find a way to remove it. It keeps bothering me as each time I launch my browser, I’m being redirected/hijacked to Dss.drivefor.net or other ads page from IE. Firefox did the same thing. Now the problem is none of the virus programs detect it. It causes a pop up with advertisement from time to time. How do I get rid of that?

Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) and then click OK.
