Oneindian.net Hijacker Virus Description:

Oneindian.net is a sophisticated browser redirecting malware that can be bundled with various music players, video recorders and download managers. It may turn out to be a clear sign that your browser has been hijacked. While you are using Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, your default search provider and homepage are changed to Oneindian.net which looks like a normal search page in fact it tries to promote some commercial websites all the time. If you search something on this website, you can never get a result that is related to your search queries but just get constant pop-up ads. Currently, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browser are the main targets of this malicious hijacker. The cyber criminals who create such annoying hijacker want to get money from your browser usage so that you will be forced to this corrupted page again and again after your computer is compromised.

When Oneindian.net redirect virus hijacks a system, it uses browser helper objects and third party malware including sponsored adware and spyware platforms to change your homepage and modify your browser settings without your permission. Though it seems to be a tiny thing, your web surfing will simply become a nightmare after that. You will be prevented from accessing your favorite web pages and your security will be minimal, also you cannot use your favorite search engines, and what you request is not delivered. This hijacker will display advertisements and sponsored links in your search results, and may collect search terms from your search queries. Most people get annoyed by hijacker but still find hard to get rid of it because antivirus program always shows you nothing related to this virus:

“I have spent a whole day removing Oneindian.net virus but no luck. I looked for add-ons and extensions that might be overriding the default homepage settings, but I didn’t see any such add-ons or extensions. Despite changing the homepage back on the browser settings, the Oneindian.net page still loads as the homepage. Thus I thought since the problem doesn’t seem to be with add-ons or extensions, then there might be a program on the computer that’s turning the homepage to this bogus search website. So I ran several anti-virus programs downloaded from Internet that claims to remove this virus but it turns out that none of them can be able to detect this malware,” said one of the victims who was trying to get rid of Oneindian.net hijacker.
