I usually set Google as my homepage. However, yesterday I downloaded mixmeister by accident, I uninstalled it immediately and after that I noticed Mixmeister Search has taken over my browser including Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. I also got Mixmeister toolbar that I had no way to uninstall it because it didn’t show up in Control Panel. Is there any way I can get rid of Mixmeister Search completely? All help will be appreciated.
Mixmeister Search is considered as a browser hijacker that often enters computers bundled with other programs such as Mixmeister which is used to edit music tracks and video. Mixmeister Search always comes bundled with Mixmeister toolbar which is useless and annoying. It doesn’t give you any option to let you uninstall it from your machine. In summary, Mixmeister Search can cause much slower internet connection speed and overall connection instability that you shouldn’t leave it on your computer. 1. Clear all the cookies of your affected browsers.
Since tricky hijacker virus has the ability to use cookies for tracing and tracking the internet activity of users, it is suggested users to delete all the cookies before a complete removal.

2. Remove all add-ons and extensions
Google Chrome: Wrench Icon > Tools > Extensions
Mozilla Firefox: Tools > Add-ons (Ctrl+Shift+A)
Internet Explorer: Tools > Manage Add-ons
3. Show hidden files and folders.
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) and then click OK.
4. Remove all the malicious files manually.

Mixmeister Search a program that causes redirections to sponsored links and changes in your browser settings without your permission. The program alters your homepage to search.conduit.com as well as your default search page.
