PSW.GENERIC10.WX is a malicious Trojan that sneaks into the system without any permission. It poses a huge risk for an infected machine. Unwary users always get this virus by clicking ads popup, downloading malicious programs that contain malware, or opening unknown attachments. When it is installed, it allows hackers to invade compromised computer via backdoors and makes your machine at risk.
This Trojan can occupy high resources which will strikingly slows down your computer speed and even causes your computer stuck frequently. Even worse, it will gather your personal data such as credit card info, log in numbers and then connect to a remote IRC server and forward the data to cybercriminals. Your system may crash suddenly or reboots repeatedly. All in all, this pest will keep making chaos unless you have it deleted immediately. 1. Show hidden files and folders.
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) and then click OK.
2. Open Registry entries. Find out the malicious files and entries and then delete all.
Attention: Always be sure to back up your PC before making any changes.
a. Press the “Start” button and then choose the option “Run”. In the “Open” field, type “regedit” and click the “OK” button.
b. All malicious files and registry entries that should be deleted:

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\run\Random.exe
